Icarus Wilds is a five-reel slot with three rows. There are 243 ways to win in the regular game, but during the free spins bonus mode, you’ll have more than 1,000 ways to win. Wins are paid out when you connect three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels. Symbols include the card royals from 10 to Ace. Then there are the Greek-themed symbols which include tools, a golden wreath and a set of wings.

Besides the regular symbols, which pay out between 1.2x to 200x your stake, there are also bonus symbols. First off, you have wilds which feature the face of Ricky Riches himself as Icarus. Flying wilds swoop down to land on reels two to five and can take three different forms.

There’s the standard flying wild, that substitutes for any symbol, giving you more chance of making a winning connection. There’s also the multiplier flying wild which can multiply any win you make by 2x, 3x or 4x. Lastly, there’s the locking wild which stays in place on the reels for up to four spins.

The locking wild will move up a row with each spin, meaning that if he lands on the bottom row during the regular game, he’ll stay for three spins. Bear in mind that changing your stake will remove him from the reel.

Icarus Wilds bonus symbols also include the Greek Coins which act as scatters. Collect three scatters to unlock the bonus spins mode. The Icarus Wilds free spins mode unlocks an extra row, expanding the playing area to a 5×4 grid. In this mode, you’ll have 1,024 ways to win, and there’s no set limit on how many free spins you get. A flying wild will appear on the bottom row between reels two and five. More can also land, but the bonus mode will end once there’s no flying wild in sight.
